Anyone can do this.

Few will actually do it though.

It doesn’t take a lot of specialized skills or knowledge.

If you have a list and an offer you can use email to greatly increase your MRR month over month.

First – Fix your lead capture + conversion.

Capturing 5% of traffic is good, capturing 10% is better.

Everything is downstream of this.

Yesterday a client hit me up asking why flow revenue was done.

I cracked my knuckles and popped into the account…

All the KPIs were strong.

Opens, clicks, conversion rate, optin rate, etc.

Come to find that visits had been trending down for a few months.

Come to find, he cut ad spend in August.

Nothing was wrong with his flows, he was just getting less traffic.

The moral of the story is that if you capture fewer leads you have less people to sell to.

Next – Adjust your context.

What does the customer journey look like after they opt-in?

What’s the buying cycle like for whatever you sell?

Most folks ignore this all together.

They throw a few emails together and hope for the best.

Seldom looking at it again.

Dumb.

Not series of emails is more lucrative that the one’s someone gets within 7 days of initially joining your list.

Third – Figure out your flows.

I think a few weeks ago I sent you a list of like 14 flows. Use them.

Some businesses need more flows than others.

The type of business you’re in matters here.

But the majority of companies do the bare minimum here and then have the nerve to say, “I need more traffic.”

No, you don’t. You just need more strategically placed emails to convert more of the folks on your site right now.

Fourth – Send more emails.

At least two a week.

Flows are great but nothing beats campaigns for timely, relevant offers.

Finally – Segment by purchase history, recency, and frequency.

Not everyone on your list is the same.

Customers are more valuable than someone who doesn’t purchase after being there for 6 months.

Don’t treat them the same.

Get it right, and the list will reward you.
